Kobus brings innovative award-winning trenchless pipepulling technology to Ville Sans Tranchee 2019

For the first time, Kobus Services will be exhibiting at the Ville Sans Tranchee (VST) 2019, hosted at the Parc des exhibitions of the Impressionist Island in Chatou.

Organised by the French Sans Tranchees Technologies (FSTT), the show, which takes place 18-19 June, welcomes 3,000 delegates to over 10,000m2 space dedicated to educating principals, project owners and project managers on the capabilities of trenchless technologies.

The team at Kobus Services Ltd, the UK based creators of the innovative Kobus Pipe Puller trenchless utility pipe repair and replacement system will be on hand on booth C36 to discuss their KPP300 free standing and new KPP400 excavator mounted pipe pullers.

Pipe pulling removes the old pipework from the ground thereby eliminating the potential environmental pollution, as well as enabling the recycling and scrap value recovery of the old pipe.

Kobus Pipe Pullers, already in use in the UK, USA, Canada and New Zealand can replace all types of service pipes, and combinations of pipe materials with fittings, much faster than more traditional methods. Kobus recently won the Abbotts NASTT Innovation Award at the Chicago No Dig Show in March this year.

Designed in partnership with some of the UK’s leading utility companies, Kobus Pipe Pullers bring economic, logistical and business transforming benefits to contractors using it.

“Reducing leaks due to ageing lead pipe is one of the biggest challenges facing water companies the world over” says Simon Drain, Kobus Services managing director.

“Our system can dramatically reduce the time taken to complete repairs or replace leaking pipes, meaning in simple terms, more repairs can be made.”
