Chicago to get $336 Million Loan from the EPA for Lead Service Line Removal Program

The money that will be provided by the EPA would be used to replace 30,000 of the city’s  known 400.000 Lead pipe service lines connecting homes to the water mains, swapping them with safer Copper Lines.

The City of Chicago Water Department have already rolled their sleeves up and are steadily underway with the arduous task in making the City of Chicago’s drink water safe for all its citizens. One of our Kobus KP400 Pipe Pullers, which the City themselves have purchased,  was demonstrated in front of all those in attendance of the announcement.
