The pipe puller concept

The Kobus KPP400 Pipe Puller offers a trenchless solution for replacing gas service lines in a single, efficient operation. Here’s how it works:

Cable Insertion:
A specially designed steel pulling cable is inserted through the old, disconnected pipe and attached to a pulling ferrule with an expander.

Pipe Extraction and New Pipe Installation:
As the Kobus Pipe Puller winches the cable, the ferrule securely grips and extracts the old pipe. At the same time, the expander enlarges the borehole left behind, preparing it for the new replacement pipe.

Recovery and Handling:
The extracted pipe is wound onto a two-piece spool for easy handling and disposal, delivering fast, safe, and low-disruption replacements with a proven success rate of over 95%.
